Auxiliary
Auxiliary History
Patients and employees are not the only beneficiaries of the Auxiliary’s generosity as financial scholarships are awarded by the Auxiliary to local adults (or adults who have local ties) who are pursuing a career in the medical field. The work of the Auxiliary is funded by one of their major projects which is the operation of the Gift Shop, located in the front lobby of the Lamb Healthcare Center. In addition to the scholarships, the Auxiliary supports other projects around the hospital by purchasing needed equipment and providing other facility improvements and enhancements.
Most recently, the Auxiliary purchased two electric recliners for the new Infusion Room as well as three pieces of equipment for the lab. Both the men’s and women’s lobby restrooms were refurbished with new paint and updated décor. They also re-established a Chapel in the hospital, providing a beautiful, quiet, sacred place for those in need of comfort. LHC Auxiliary is a member of the Texas Association of Healthcare Volunteers and the Runningwater Draw Senior Volunteer Program which recognizes and facilitates Seniors in areas of service. The Auxiliary is an active member of the Littlefield Chamber of Commerce.
The Auxiliary is made up of men and women who have a sincere desire to serve others and promote the welfare of Lamb Healthcare Center. Volunteers are on duty in two shifts, 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM and 1:30 PM to 5:30 PM daily Monday through Friday. If you would like to be a part of this active, caring organization, please call 385-6411, extension 2104. Part-time or full-time volunteers are always welcome!
